The Columbia Chronicle came to us to help develop a Web site that could be used by multiple students. These students would act as authors, publishing their own written articles and photographs online. The biggest challenge for the Web site was to create a layout and format that would be modular, appealing, and easy to use by new students in the future. Using a simple yet powerful content management tool, a customized version of it’s publishing process, and a layout that would continue to grow, we feel this project went off without a hitch. The Web site design could be edited by future students. For this student publication, which ranks in one of the top five student newspapers in the nation, we took every design angle into consideration to ensure a positive outlook on the redesign by the student body.
